And I thought you were enamoured with your Suhl. I have to agree, the 40X is a marvel. When those small groups start forming,it's like having found the Grail.

dryfire; I am indeed enamoured with my SUHL, as it is the epitome of an accurate rimfire. But the 40X comes so close, it's scary, and in a rifle that looks, and handles like a short action 700. What more could you ask for? :D
Regards, Eagleye.

Bichchchchchcin! thanks.

G36 would be cool, I had one in.22lr once but it didn't work out, composite shell wasn't strong enough.

A sten would be cool too

Years ago I saw a clip of a guy shooting an 22lr version of the browning 30cal complete with tripod belt fed the works. Basically an exact copy in miniature. I would love a semi auto version!

I already have two just such rifles.Mt Cooper 22lr,and 17Mach2, use the same stock and configuration as my Cooper 280AI rifles. It is very nice having the same stock, trigger etc,on my rimfires, that I have on my big game rifles.

Ruger 10/22.

But the catch is it needs to be suppressed and full auto. :D
