Any semi-retired turners want to make a few sight adapters?

I'm sure quite a few people that bought the S&L M70/M77 rifles would buy one. I have 2 adapters so far, but would be in for 6 more at least. I've been retreading 1" Lyman target "peeps" to fit these sights with a 6x0.75 die but it's kind of a pain in the ass. A diopter replaces many "peeps" and is much more convenient.
This is what they look like, 6x0.75 male to 9.5x1.0 female. (I may need to check my numbers, been a while since I played with these). Should fit as oversized mail and be $3 or so to ship anywhere. There was quite a bit of interest in these rifles so I think these would sell.

Was thinking of ingraving various yardage marks on the side elevation plate as well.....or have a longer one made to reach out there......Harold

website says server not found...............

Got something in the works, Canadian made, should have a better update soon, but looks promising! Somebody stepped up and is going to give it a try, but as I found out before when I was searching, a 9.5x1 tap is not easy to find.

I don't think it will work with the '98 target rifle versions due to the bolt handle and 90 degree rotation.

I didn't think of that. Put me down for one of them then. I've been looking at prices of the diopters and don't think I'd be buying more than one of them anyways.

You should be able to get a Centra Basic 3.0 for $30-$50US. We can always check with member Diopter and see if he can get us a box of them from Swiss Products at a reasonable price.

I was thinking one of the magnified ones would be pretty nice, then I'd also be able to adjust for my eyesight and not have to wear my prescription glasses, which also make everything smaller for me. Maybe I should start wearing contacts for shooting, they don't make things appear smaller. Could even leave out the left one for a blurred image without a blinder. Nordic Marksman lists the Centra basic 3.0 for $100, but they're sold out. They also have one specifically for Izsmash sights that also says it's a 9.5x1 thread, not sure what the difference would be though. The description says the thread is different, so maybe a different thread profile.

Now over to the other end of the gun.........does the front sight take and Anschutz insert? The only size I could find were 18mm from Nordic Marksman. Is that the disc size as I measured the disc on the gun and it is slightly smaller?......Harold

I bought the 18mm Anschutz ones, and they fit. The metal ones have slightly smaller locating tabs so they might not line up the same every time, and the way they're stamped you get the sharp cut edge towards the target instead of towards your eye, but the clear plastic ones with the holder are awesome.

The insert itself isn't sloppy once it's in, just the tabs on the sides that make sure it drops into the same spot every time are a bit narrower than the original insert.
