Good guns (I have three of them), won't stand up to a steady diet of heavy 44 mag loads. I think it's the best of the bunch unless you want to use it for bear hunting or silhouette shooting. - dan

I have the Standard Catalog of S & W, 2nd addition by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas.
If you tell me specifically what you want, I will look it up in the book.
Just a bit of info; "Pre Model 29"
" Caliber-.44 Magnum, introduced in December 1955, double action revolver built on a square-butt N target frame with five screws......"
In 1957 the .44 Magnum continued as the Model 29.
There is almost 4 pages of info on the Model 29 alone.
