Has anybody gotten their Sub 2000s back from warranty repair yet? I had the safety reset problem and mine was shipped out in Aug/Sept and I was told that there was no idea what the time frame would be for getting it back.

I had a Beretta that would not run, jammed up every round. Sent to Vault via Wanstalls. I got a brand new gun. Keltec sent me a new mag latch for S&W mags. 500+ rounds through new gun with ZERO issues. Turn around time was 5 weeks.

What's with the safety?

I have a sub-2000 that works great.

But I don't ever use the safety. Should I be concerned?

Sent it in at the end of August... still waiting. Very sad. I almost forgot I owned one until this thread. I'm at the point where they can keep the POS, don't want it back anymore.

Quick run down:
1. Defective safety, will engage every 2nd shot.
2. Constant FTE'e and FTF's... every 10 shots on average (doesn't matter what magazine or brand of ammo or weight of ammo I used or how much lube I used)... resulted in marred ejection port edges.
3. Vertical gouges along the lower lands of the barrel... 600 rounds of mild factory ammo shouldn't do that.

I have two 33 round Glock mags going on EE.

Sad to hear. Mine runs flawlessly. (knock on wood)

Well, its been 7 months since I sent my Sub 2000 in for warranty service, and not a peep from anybody. Should I be concerned? Is the rifle lost? Has it been repaired? What should do now? I am really running out of patience. Especially since I've bought parts for it.

So you sent the gun in and the whole time you have never heard a thing?
And you've waited 7 months.

I would have expected a timeline when you first sent it back and then if that timeline is not met I'd be expecting updates or I'd be contacting who ever has your gun for an explanation.

Who has it?

I believe The Vault has it, and I had been contacting them and the store I originally purchased it from at regular intervals. But I keep getting the run around.

Old thread I know, but when my sub 2000 had to go back with trigger reset issues, it took just over 2 months to get mine back. No communication, and no explanation as to what was done or why.

Mine too about 4-5 months. Vault is absolutely swamped with repairs and only 1 or 2 people working on them. They also don't work on a seniority list, you're firearm could have been back shelved for a number of reasons, including priority work coming in. It's not the repair guys fault.

1. If you sent the rifle back to a dealer who sent it to the vault call them and politely but strictly tell them you need an update on what is going on with your firearm, have them call Vault and ask. (I did this about half a dozen times).
If they don't want to call and check on the condition of your gun then start eating into their productivity and start calling 2-3 times a day and ask them.

2. Consider calling Vault and having them ship your un-repaired firearm back to you for you to pay out of your pocket to have it fixed. I've noticed KelTec in Florida is good to deal with (albeit their hands are tied with warranty) and they're quite happy to send replacement parts for free.

Yeah, it was the glock ones that have the problem
No it wasn't. I had a Beretta mag version that had all the problems mentioned above, including the gouges in the barrel - but they were there from brand new. I suspect they test fired it at the factory and did it, without cleaning the machining crud out of the barrel first. Mine also had the firing pin hitting so off center it barely hit the primers. They replaced it...after 3 months. Second one was slightly better in all aspects but only slightly. Except it never had any safety issues. Sold it after 11 rounds just to check function. They are $275 rifles in the USA for a reason. Too bad we get jammed up the stinker for them here. And Vault absolutely sucks.
