Any Successful Ontario turkey hunts yet?

I shot a jake yesterday morning and quite proud of its 11-3\4 lbs and 2 inch beard... and nothing for spurs.
Way better than last year when I got nothing.

Jake down yesterday morning. Nothing to speak of size wise, but broke a long dry spell and was able to show my wife that I'm not just sleeping under a tree in the woods

This has been a strange year for turkey hunting. After giving up this morning hearing the gobbles fade away, we spotted this fella on the way home and put the stalk on him. Not even 20 minutes and he came full strut into my calling. Didn't make a sound.

I was mentoring today and let my new hunter take him - this is the first thing he has harvested, and he's hooked!

Always nice when a plan comes together and we can get someone else into the sport.
