Any such thing out there as pre-1965 AR15 lowers ?

Here's another twist.....
There are the few Valmet AK variants that are non-restricted. You cannot make one of these and call it a non-restricted rifle. A Valmet was made by Valmet.
Even IF an early Colt AR were classified as non-restricted, would this mean that anything other that an early Colt AR would be so classifed?
I don't know, just sayin'.

A recently made repro. of a Sterling Police Carbine was classified as prohibited.

The M-16 and variant OIC, which was enshrined in law, is badly written, and was drafted by someone who was ignorant of AR/M-16 evolution. Whether this sloppy legal draftsmanship would make a difference, I don't know, but it would a formal rejection of a registration, followed by reference hearings to attempt to reverse the current interpretation.
