Any SUggestions for a 7.62x39 Semi Auto thats not a CZ or Ruger Mini?

Sks, & maybe the type 81 if it gets here. The type 81 won't be inexpensive though.

The sks will double as a boat paddle, shovel or cricket bat too

The Type 81 has just been approved (probably not what you're looking for) the Robarms XCR is available in 762x39 (same) the Tavor is available in that calibre in the US (IIRC) and it's possible, though not probable that ATRS may produce their Modern Varmint in that calibre at some point in time. It's a military calibre, so for the most part, it comes in military style firearms.

Hands down SKS.

Shhhh .... Just don't mention bear defense or deer beyond 75 meters or it will stir up a s*** storm. Sometimes I like to somehow mix in the words "sniper rifle", "accurate" or "long range" when the little tank x39 rifle gets mentioned. GREAT entertainment for the whole day, sometimes an entire week !

Seriously though, can't beat the SKS for a very rugged, very reliable and reasonably accurate semi x39.

Inexpensive, 7.62x39, not cz or mini-30, semi-auto

How could it be anything but an sks??

Another option, if you really need another option, would be to get a 7.62x39 upper for an ar lower, those take the xcr 10 rd mags and you can use ar parts on them if you have lots of ar parts

This ^^^. Or how about take that complete 7.62x39 upper and throw it on one of those soon to be released new fangled Maccabee non-restricted lowers ( https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1643300-Maccabee-Defense-SLR-availability ) and you’ve got a back country shooter that won’t cost a small fortune to feed on a regular basis.
