Im looking for a long range target and hunting rifle with VERY accurate and high power with little kick (Legal Sniper rifle). Any suggestions would be good. I will use it just for target practice as in to see how accurate and how far it shoots. deer,moose and bear hunting

This thread is going to get some reactions.
High power is generally thought of as lb/ft energy which is mass times velocity squared divided by a constant value that I can't recall right now.
This generally requires large quantities of powder being burned. That equals recoil. A heavier rifle will help with recoil, as will muzzle brakes. The brakes won't make you very popular at the range though.
What calibre's recoil are you comfortable with? What are you going to be shooting?

How about telling us what you are going to be hunting for(deer? moose? elk? bear? sheep?) , what terrain you hunt in, what has been your hunting experience and what do you consider long range?

Hmmmm.......3 posts, one of which your looking for a 50 cal thats not restricted now your looking for a sniper rifle with only minimal kick and call it a "legal" sniper rifle?

If it fits properly then a .375 has a little kick if it doesnt fit then so does a .270. Buy a 300 Weatherby with a good pad.

More info definantly required, anything between .223 and .416 will apply.

If you're thinking anywhere along the lines that I would be, Remington 700 sendero in .300 ultra may be a good fit. Or a 700 police model. However a .308 vsf remington 700 is what I'm about to start playing with. I don't know what a "legal sniper rifle" is. Hope that helps you a bit. As far as kick, put a break on it if you have to.

So you're gonna take practice pot shots and deer, moose and bear

If you are looking for a precision hunting rifle with little kick, they only thing I can suggest is something in the 6.5 mm family. Try a 260 remington or 6.5x55.

What do you consider little kick ?

Do you have a Pal or is Riley's dad gonna be registering this "legal Sniper rifle"

sounds like you need to learn to shoot first, get lessons in Teh_shoota_speik, then think about a long range thumper
