I'm on the fence about buying one of these till I try one out. Anybody have a membership for the fish and game club that owns one of these? I'd be willing to pitch in a bit of money for a few rounds next time your up there for a range trip. Pm me if your game, thanks!

I have one. Have tried to love it but think i'm going to sell. Had some break in time but runs good now. Just not very accurate and the trigger makes me sick.

How bad of accuracy? 2-3" at 100 yards? That would be expected of a semi auto service rifle and I can live with that. I would definitely look into getting the upgrades done to improve ergonomics/controls/trigger. I just want to see how it shoulders and runs. Hear a lot of mixed reviews on being finicky with mags, feeding issues that kind of thing, seems to be a lot of variation like any norinco in their QC.

I don't live in Victoria, but yes it can be finicky with mags. Not a big deal once you figure out which ones your rifle likes. It shoulders awesome in my opinion, feels very well balanced. Its a good "frigging around" gun with reasonable accuracy. Ergonomics are poo, but once you familiarize yourself with it it's not too bad. Mine is stock aside from a picatinny rail mounted on top.

Yeah I'm thinking with that extended mag release, extended charging handle out the side and chop off the carry handle and replace with a rail it would be a fun bush gun. I'm 6ft and have long arms so the big thing for me is how scrunched up do I have to be to shoulder the gun

I'm 6'0 with long arms and I find it quite easy to shoulder my T97. I was quite surprised how easy it was when I first tried one out at a range. I didn't feel awkward at all.
