Any thoughts on the Remington R1

I'm not necessarily a fan of stainless or blingy 1911's but that is nice!

Damn I’m so mad! I just bought the blued a couple of weeks ago and even though I love it, I would give my left nut for the ss version. I had no idea it even existed or I would have been a bit more patient. I think the R1 is one of the best looking 1911 out right now with very few markings and engravings on it. So clean!!! the Stainless unlike even the more expensive S&W, Ruger and others is ALL stainless, without the black “accent” safeties, hammers, triggers and slide locks, which imho look like crap.

I really like the Enhanced model, the sights just jump right out at me. Not all FO's do, but those ones just work for me. And the grips are great. It needs just a bit of work on the trigger, but I've only shpt trigger-job'd 1911's so I'm spoiled that way.
I'd love the Enhanced model in a Commander-length. 4.2" would be cake. Throw in a trigger job and Ed Brown MSH/mag well combo and I'd be one of the coolest kids at the range.
