Hey all,
I've got an antique Swiss 1882 revolver on the way and I'm wondering if anybody has any tips on dies, brass bullets and powder... Basically any experience.
I was looking at using the .32 100gr lee mold for bullets and 32-20 brass chopped. Still not too sure on the dies. Some people use .30 carbine, others 32-20 and of course 7.5swiss ordnance... But those are not easy to find. I have unique, bullseye and 4198 for powder as well as pyrodex p.

What are some tricks and loads that have worked for you?

I'm so envious of you. I'm looking for one of these for long time now. I have not been able to find one at sensible price.
Any ways. Ammo can be made from 32-20 cases, however the rims are too wide and you would need to cut the case to length and then reduce rim diameter as well. too much work. The way to go is either buy 7.5 swed cases by bertam or get some 7.62 Nagant cases and cut them to length of the swiss. Both brass are available at Tradeex right now. You can use bullets up to 312 diameter in these revolvers. On the net there is alot of people say they are using 314 to 325 diameter bullets, I think they are living dangerously by doing that. 100 grain weight bullets are what they were designed to fire. I mainly load for Russian nagant and find the Lee dies are ok for Swiss as well. However I'd get CH4D dies for 7.5 Swiss and spare your self a head ache.
Please post pics of the 1882.

Do You think the nagant dies will work for bullet seating and flaring?

I found the proper dies by hornady. I got them from calgary shooting centre.
They are named 7.5 swiss ord. And are a 3 die set. Price was quite reasonable too
