Bienvenue en Alberta! Have you checked with the CDTSA website? The club hosts competition but I am not sure if 2 guns is part of the lineup, I am just a casual shooter, but there are some 3-gun events, I think. The acronym stands for Calgary and District Target Shooters Association. The club has a waiting list, but maybe one can simply drop in to an event, if it is open to the public.
I hear that the membership has taken a big Covid-OIC reduction in renewals and no "wait list" anymore.
What are "covid reductions"? Are you referring to member deaths, or paranoia
Well I guess if i have to explain it to you... Group size gatherings allowed by the Prov. has a lot of folks Leary of spending a membership fee that they wont get to make use of at a competition level again.
From a reliable source last week: CDTSA membership renewals are down 7-800 from last year, almost 30%.

So rather than use the range on your own, or attend matches, these people would sooner not have a membership to one of the very few ranges available? Sounds like a smart line of thinking..
I would imagine with the large number of unemployed here, a membership would be less important than paying for food, rent or mortgage etc. for at least some of those.
Auggie D.
Well I don't know if there is attrition but there is as much wait for the CDTSA as for seeing a specialist doctor (least a year) and the BTSA requires sponsorship so for now I am boned. T_T
