Any value to a K31 in .30-30

I've been made aware of a rifle that may be heading to the smelting pot, it's a K31 that's been re-chambered to .30-30. Wondering what a fair value range for such a rifle would be, I don't want to see any rifle get turned in and sent to the smelting pot.

They're usually not that desirable because of the conversion and usual accompanying sporterization... Also, more than a few have feeding problems, extraction problems etc..

Cool if you find one that works well though. A nice truck gun.
 
Sure its a K-31? Most of the .30-30 conversions were earlier rifles.
$100-$150, if in sound shooting order. Maybe less. Not much sought after.
 
95% probability it's an M1889 Schmidt Rubin. if it's in 30-30.

M96-11 and M1911 were converted to .308
