Any walther p99 owners? How do you like it?

I have one in .40 Haven’t used it enough to know if there would be any problems.

I like it, but I wouldn’t buy it again for what I paid retail, originally.
 
Had a gen 1 and sold it,trigger was awesome and I loved the paddle mag release.When I needed money for another purchase it was the only one in the herd I was willing to sell.
 
It is a very nice gun. It is somewhat unique as a DA/SA striker fired gun with decocker, compared to the now much more common, consistent action DA designs. People typically go for these gun because that is what they are looking for. I had one in 9mm and currently have a Gen 1 in 40 (the slide and barrel on the 40 is slightly longer than the 9mm version so no protruding barrel - see photo). As above, great trigger, very accurate and reliable in my experience. Good deals to be had on them these days.

Likewise here. One of the first pistols ever purchased and I still gots. Mine is the AS Anti-Stress version as well and to this day is by far the "fastest" auto pistol out of the box that I've owned - trigger reset on follow up shots is nearly nothing yet still tactile-positive.

I opine that Walthers are generally under-appreciated. Besides, James Bond had one. Can't go wrong there.
 
Fired it, it's great. Only a CZ 75 fits my hand better but the P99 is lighter, way lighter. The trigger is also great on the P99, I only wish that it had more support for aftermarket stuff but you can check their website for a list of parts.
 
I picked up a .40 last year after kicking around the idea of getting one for years. I will admit that the grip felt a little odd to me when dry-firing at home–the "hump" at the back felt odd, and the grip itself was a little slippery, too. But once I shot it it felt great—there were no issues with comfort at all. I've had other pistols that felt similarly odd but shot great at the range –the H&K P7 is one example. It was surprisingly accurate too—I shot all rounds at 10m as I find it's a good distance to try a new gun out at. The first group of ten were OK, but the groups tightened up as I got used to the pistol. There was some "punch" to the recoil, of course, but little muzzle flip. I like it more than I thought I would!
