Any way to extend a 4" barrel and reclassify from prohib?

Not what you want but I have extended the original barrel to make it longer and comply. I drilled out the original rifling and put in a barrel liner then rechambered (semi-auto). I was also changing the bore size (calibre) from 32 and 25 to 22. I have done this twice. The guns were inspected by the RCMP in Ottawa.

The liner is smaller in diameter than the extended portion. I added an extra piece over the liner to increase the diameter so it it is about the same diameter as the original barrel doesn't look so dumb.

Mark @ Questar (see his link above) brings prohibs into the country with longer barrels thus making them restricted only. Maybe you should PM him with the details of what you are looking for; if not a whole gun he he may be able to get you a Bar-sto barrel with comp for it.

It was just theorizing, wasn't sure what search terms to use on the Justice Canada site to look it up. Thanks for the advice though, and Rudy they look good but it's unjust that those mods need to be done at all:(

Yes it is unjust. I have done this to three guns and hope that I never have to again. It was either that change or have the guns deactivated.

very nice work:)

Rudy H's sleeving procedure is probably acceptable to the "powers that be" because the actual bore of the modified barrel is continuous from breech to muzzle. A collar or extension added to the muzzle end of the original barrel is not accepted as an increase in barrel length.

Not meant to offend anyone but I find those extended barrel pistols revolting to look at. Our insane gun laws are to blame of course.

I don't like it either. When I have one of the guns I converted on display at a gun show I replace the longer barrel with a deactivated barrel of the correct length.
