Anybody else find CCI Blazer ammo wildly inaccurate?

I just traded another CGNer for an awesome GP100. To get started before I had a chance to reload I bought some CCI Blazer in .357 magnum. I went shooting with a few other club members and not one of us could hit the broad side of the proverbial barn with the stuff. Literally, we could not get it to hit on paper at a few yards! One fellow was very experienced with hot .44 magnums so it was not a case of a shooter leaning on the shot or flinching anticipating recoil.

On the next visit, I loaded up a batch of my own hot handloads from a recipe in the Lyman manual and the GP100 started punching a nice neat hole.

Anyone else find CCI Blazer wildly erratic for point of impact?
 
the old stock works great, but since they changed the bullet accuracy went to the hell :( before that, I used CCI Blaser in all my rifles with great results.....
 
well YMMV but for 9mm it seems to work well for me

Cci has removed their name from the package. It's now just blazer. Apparently federal makes some of it now.
 
I've had good luck with both Federal and CCI in the past so I was surprised how difficult it was to group with this box.

Actually, I didn't realize it was aluminum cased until I got home. I was planning to reload some .357 so I was double disappointed with the purchase (could hit consistently and couldn't reload it.) Not the end of the world though. Like I said, I built up a 100 stout rounds using new Winchester cases, 158 grain SWC's and a primer and powder charge for the Lyman manual, and the GP100 proved very accurate in the hands of several shooters.

By the way, good group, Proutfoo. Keep it up, man!
