Not really Milsurp per se (was used by Police Forces), but of possible interest to the Milsurp collecting ilk. Let's hear from you.

My Carbine

9mm Largo on Left, 9mm Luger on Right. I got my brass from Starline. I use 9mm Luger dies, bullets and loads.

A few scans from an old catalogue - enjoy.

I was told you can convert theese to use the 7.62x25 tokarev round.
If this can be done i would look at getting one.The ammo is so readily available and there is no other rifle chambered for this round.

I have one that is in 9mm Luger, Para, NATO, whatever you want to call it. It was rechambered and I suspect rebarreled in this caliber, not a bad little rifle.

imho, people ask too much for them. theyre usually around the 350$ range. once I find one with a lower price tag, i might buy it. how readily available is 9mm largo brass anyways?

I converted a couple to 9mm Para. Easy job, set the barrel back, and recut the chamber. The magazine does not feed Luger as well as the original longer cartridge; worked with no more than 5 rds. in the magazine.
If brass is available, that would be the better way to go.

It was re-barreled....It used to be mine.....great little gopher gun!

You have to turn the rim down on the 38 Super, otherwise OK. I picked up some 9x21 Winchester a few years ago, works really well and the brass is reloadable and new. At first I was a tad concerned about pressure, but after reading the comments in Bolt Action Rifles, Frank DeHaas seems to think that they were overbuilt for their original cartridge. I don't load as stiff as the Winchester load, so I don't worry any more at all. I've also seen several of these nifty little mausers converted to 9x19 (9mm luger) bearhunter

Wouldn't .38 Super dies be more appropriate?

Yes, 9mm Luger works well, but now that I own some, that's what I use. ;)

I've pretty much settled on 125gr cast over 4.5grs of Unique for all my 9mm's.

PM Beater here on CGN if you want the dope on the Destroyer. He`s played with them lots as well as has one for sale here. I had one and had lts of fun with it. Brass isn`t hard to get but not everywhere. I had a couple hundred rounds so never really had to look for any. ;)

I converted mine to .38super. All it took was having the gunsmith open the boltface just a tiny amount for the slightly larger rim. .38 super is a lot easier to come by. No other mods were needed.:D

Actualy its now part Lee Enfield. I didn't like the little bitty bolt handle, and I had a deacted Enfield bolt body. (cut in half) Cut the handle off and welded on the enfield one. Looks a lot nicer;)

pics please....

That's a neat collection of info.
Love them old ad pics.

I handled one of these rifles at a gunshow, but they guy was asking over $400.00 for it.

To use 7.62x25 Tokarev you would have to replace the barrel, but that would be an interesting carbine.

yea i have a few, and really like them. many of them are redone into 9 luger and i have had them before aswell. set the bbl back, and recut/ done.
as for the feeding probs you fellas are haveing when they are redone into 9 luger, i have a simple fix that works 100%. get a colt 1911 9 mm mag, with the spacer in the back. cut the slot in the back of the mag to fit the destroyer, and presto, done.and for you guys who have them in the original calibre, get a 1911 mag for 38 ACP or super, and do the same thing, and you now have a 10 round mag for the lil gun.
9 mm largo brass is easy, and quiet cheep aswell. think 1000 starline cost me 95.00$. 9x23 WW brass works not to bad to, but dont shoot factory 9x23 in them, way to hot
as for converting to 7.62 tok, i had done one like that aswell. was quiet a bit of work to get the tok mag to fit and work, but it was good in the end. i sold it to someone on hear, but cant remeber who.the 7.62 round is longer than the largo round, and wont fit in the original destroyer mag.
those lil carbines run from mint , well built, to absalute junk. many diff vertions aswell. be carefull buying one without an extractor, cause you wont find one for sale very often.
all things considered, i like them very much, and have carryed one lots. the largo round is also a underrated round, as far as im concerned. and yes, i do have a good one for sale in hear somewhere
