Ordered my BC medalist stock from Red Hawk Rifles on August 30 and received it today. Total time 5.5 weeks.

I paid $275 CAD. That's including the exchange rate and shipping.

Those Boyds laminated are quite heavy and unless you need the extra weight, you may want to look for a lighter handle.

I recieved an e-mail from Jim, looks like they are going to start shipping to the north again.

I have had no luck in getting the DDTC to agree that the stocks are a civil use item and not a defense item. Near the end of September I paid the required $2250.00 Exporter registration application fee and finally received an Exporter Registration Permit from the DDTC.



Even though I am now registered as an exporter I am still required to apply for a license for each separate order that is place by an out of Country customer.

Gotta love government hoops. Thankfully there are still a few dealers south of the border, like Accuracy Innovations, that are willing to ship north.

Looks like a bit of time will be added to the current wait times, a week or two, but that is doable. I managed to find a stock in Canada before this all happened, but next time i am looking to upgrade a handle on one of my rifles, AI will get the nod.
