im looking for some info on this area. it is a large area owned by the Long Point Regional Conservations Auth. (LPRCA) and u can hunt in it, i have been poking around in there the past few weeks and seen ALOT of deer and turkey tracks, as well as alot of coyote/dog tracks. I know parts of the swamp have quick sand and peat/mud bogs, and i also know there is dry areas as ppl i have talked to and showed me pictures of 8-12point bucks taken from there. I have called LPRCA and they 'dont really know what its like in there cause no one ever goes in there' which i think is total BS. any info would be great thanks ppls..
Anybody ever hunt in Hatchley Swamp in Southern ON?

i live 5 miles away .it is a large track of land and i used to hunt it a lot as my buddy owned some land next to it .and still does .a lot of deer and birds do live in the area .and we do get a few big bucks every year down here .the swamp is heavely hunted in the spring and fall .deer drives are in full swing the first on nov and the first of DEC .THERE IS A FEW SPOTS AROUND THE SWAMP THAT HOLD RUSTTING BIRDSin the spring but thy are on privete land and a hunted hard .i have killed a few birds there years ago .but spot lighters pt an end to my deer hunting over there .i hate walking out of the bush after dark only to be hit by a million candel power light right in the face .DUTCH
hmm, thanks dutch. i know its a busy bush ive seen ALOT human tracks in it, ive followed a few, came up on a couple kill sites but nothing serious. im pretty sure its busy everywhere around here during hunting season cause everyone around here hunts lol. i dont know too many ppl around here having moved here in sept. thanks for the info, maybe sometime get together for a coffe or beer or a shoot.
any time i am in NORWICH ont and have lived here and hunted here my whole life.I do offer guided turkey hunts in the spring on private land .i also run dogs in the winter abd trap beavers and rats .shoot me a pm one day and we can get together .DUTCH
