Anybody ever see a Bigfoot?

There is an interesting tale regarding a supposed violent encounter in the Oklahoma Indian territory between the local constables and several bigfoot.
Google Oklahoma Bigfoot War of 1855.

The county is still named after the Indian leader who died during this terrific adventure.

just some info.....

Thanks for that. What a great story.

I can't believe people believe this shyte... and it even has a TV show on a Nat Geo / Science channel? Come on......

Are you talking about religion or Bigfoot?

How many people believe in the bible again? good ol' zombie jesus walking on water. Can I get an amen!

I find that bigfoot is more believable myself .......

OK, had to read the entire thread. The only Bigfoot experience I had was as a kid driving from Edmonton to Enderby, I was trying to sleep in the back seat, and mind you it was late, so maybe it was my mind playing tricks. Staring out the window of the car watching the signs I saw a humanoid silhouette turn, about 20 feet into the ditch, where headlights weren't going to light it up. The chilling bit was the slight bit of light that caught the eyes, made them go red. My parents convinced me it was nothing, maybe a hiker, but I wasn't fully convinced. It wasn't until high school biology, talking about eyes, when the teacher mentioned how the tapetum lucedum wasn't present in humans, brought it all back, damn overactive imagination. It never helped that on a camping trip that year or the next, my dad jumped on top of the old Fleury motorhome after dark, and shaking the sh#t out of it and making grunting noises to wake us up and scare the crop out of us kids.

Whether you believe or not, some #### just puts a chill in you. Lots of us know what it feels like to be stalked.

BTW, is there a ghostly encounter thread somewhere in the archives? I've got a few stories to resurrect that bad boy but I haven't found anything using the search function.

Cool post, but I am of the belief that if I dont see it I can't believe it 100%. but my thoughts on the subject would be as such:
1) if BF did exist and is an ape/human hybrid type animal then its intelligence would be greater than any in the woods of North America.
2) with a high level of intelligence and the keen senses it would take to survive in the woods, the ability to avoid humans would be highly probable.
3) the possibility of a low number of of the species would make a sighting next to impossible unless chance sightings occurred (extremely rare)

Maybe try hunting in the headless valley on the BC / AB border you might see something there! theres some cool mysterious stories about that place. (Nahanni National Park Reserve)

As for me I think the lore of the BigFoot is a great story to scare campers at night.

Come on people. There is no way an animal that size could be so widely distributed in North America and not be verified, with bodies in museums, etc.

Believing this sort of thing is as gullible as something like young earth creationism or flat earthism. Please, don't give antis a reason to think gun owners are a lunatic fringe!

Relax friend, this thread is intended to be funny. Don't worry what the antis think about funny stories concerning bigfoot, haters are going to hate. When you see a thread like this read it for the pure entertainment value or contribute a bit of foolishness yourself, there are some amazingly funny and clever people here.
