Anybody ever see a Bigfoot?

Been a geologist for 26 years.

I'm in the remote bush 180 - 250 days per year, sleeping in tents lots of nights in remote fly camps, walking alone to the drill at 3am is SOP.

Never seen any yeti's or UFO's........Yet.

But if you carry a big ass handgun, you NEVER see any animals. I think that they can smell the Hoppes and Outer's gun oil.
 
I've seen some pretty interesting tracks up around Gatehouses neck of the woods.In snow up on a glacier.They were frozen solid and obviously old...but they were there none the less.
 
Is bigfoot mentioned in any aboriginal cultures? The aboriginal peoples have lived here for thousands of years, if bigfoot did exist you would think they would mention something about it in the histories.
 
Every aboriginal culture here on the west coast has stories in thier histories about hairy mountain men and women that steal kids and such.Some even carve masks and have traditional songs and dance about them.
 
Hey guys, first time post. I really enjoy this whole site. I can tell you that I am a native of the north coast B.C. and in my culture there is next to no stories about bigfoot, however there is a word for him. Just thought I'd let you know.
 
I read a book about this old timer that hunts Griz up on the north B.C coast and he talks about Bigfoots and mentions that the local Natives talk about hearing there scream its something you never forget and makes all the hair on your neck stand up.
I forget the name of the book but it was really a great read :)

What tribe do you belong to MP?Please excuse me if I've used the wrong word here.I have a book that goes over the names given and stories of many different tribes on the coast.I'd just be curious to see what it says about yours.
 
There have also been several cases where hair was found,genetically examined and found to be somewhere between Human and Orangutang.One such case was in oregon at a place called "The Three Sisters"

Supposedly the story goes there was an old guy who was a trapper and almost a recluse living up near this peak.At some point some info filtered down to some researchers that there was a lot of weird activity up there.Apparently to the people that lived there it was pretty frequent and somewhat normal for the area and usually ignored.the researchers went up to talk to the people and met the old guy who said yes they were seeing and hearing them quite often.He said they usually ignored them but that he had gotten quite pissed off because the last time they came down one of them punched a hole in his screen door in an effort to get one of his dogs which was penned in on his porch.When the researchers examined the hole they found hair samples still stuck to the wire around the hole.They were sent in to one of the Universities in Oregon and found to be from an unknown species somewhere between human and orang.i'll see if I can find the story somewhere's.
 
I asked the same thing, all I got was smart-ass answers. While normally I look forward to everyone's smart ass answers some stories would have been cool.

So more than 50% are willing to at least say "maybe"
Personally I think there are too many stories for this to be written off as a hoax. But I still want see some concrete evedence. ie. a corpse.

I guess if they do exist It would have to be something I would have to see to believe it type deal. As far as I am concerned personaly there only a pipe dream or a vision created by your own mind when you are Bush wacking. Your mind is a creatful thing and very powerful when it come to invisioning objects.
However I believe what people THINK.... they seen.
 
You should see my ex-wife without make-up on a Saturday morning - hung over, before coffee, pms'ing and angry. F*&K ME, I would take 3 rounds in an elevator with ol Bigfoot over that any day!
 
I personally believe in Bigfoots. There was an article in the paper a cpl weeks ago about how some scientists went to a remote part of a jungle and found all sorts of new animals and that have never been seen or identified so it would be logical to say that there is a good probability that BigFoot could exist now.
