Anybody got $9603.99 to spend on a few Remingtons from SIR?

speaking for myself, the rifles that i most prize are ones that show history and character. ie: something like a 100+ year old gun with all the bluing worn off, thousands of little nicks and dings and things showing that it has been used for a century and is still a fine, functioning weapon.

i can admire fine workmanship but cant really get attached to a gun that just sits in a display case with tacky gold leaf and embellishments.

i was just commenting earlier about the absolutely retarded price difference - Canadians get shafted again.

If I had the cash, (Which I never will) I really would buy a set like this. They would be used, and returned to their place on my wall until they are ready to come out again. This coming from a guy who thinks the Stevens 200 is actually a nice looking rifle.:onCrack:

i can think of a lot uglier guns than the stevens :)

its amazing how some guns can grow on you though. i used to think Mosins were hideous, now i think they look awesome. pure brutal functionality.

ugliest production gun nowadays IMO is the:

those guns have been sitting in the store for as long as i can remember going there, they just can't sell them

No kidding. My wife walked in the room as I clicked the link. I told her I bet they've had those for 10 years...

Not my cup of tea either.

More than ten years actually. Remington was founded in 1816 and these guns commemorated the 180th Anniversary so they date back to 1996.

On the plus side, at least the shotguns don't have the J-lock safety. ;)

They should have just used a Zip-Lock.
