in case you havent noticed i love smithing but the wife gets a little annoyed when i spend too much time in the shop.

nevertheless i will keep you updated

I don't get the excitement, this has to be the 10th or so 'prototype" posted here, so far maybe 1 or 2 has made it into production. Why not finish it first then post about it,until then it is vaporware that gets a bit of buzz and is forgotten in a month.
While I find the idea interesting showing a pic of a crude prototype is not the way to introduce a new design, polish that turd a bit and then bring it back so we can have a better idea of the final product.

dunno about the tenth or so prototype but you've never seen one from me before.

stop being such a wet blanket!

You haven't done squat yet, when you do post it so we can at least get an understanding of exactly what you are producing and the quality of it,until then a half finished chunk of aluminum and some fantasy specifications doesn't show anything that would make me (or any thinking customer) want to purchase one.

why dont you come and give me a hand then since you seem to be quite concerned with my project. then maybe it wont look like crap as you say

at least some on this board appreciate my efforts.

Relax there Francis, you actually expected that everyone would be happy with the chunk'o metal you posted? Great job, you are awesome, wooohooo!!!!,etc.
Sorry but there is nothing to get excited about, finish off the prototype and post it then, at least there would be something to get interested in.
I could give a rat's ass about your project at this point, make it look like a functional product and I promise I'll get all misty about it.

Ehhh - this board loves to harass anyone who actually tries to build something. Give'er and I wish you the best of luck.

Personally I'm anticipating it costing over $2000 when finished, but if you can get it done for $1200-$1500 like you said, I'm interested. Had funds in the bank for the VZ 59 which disappeared, then was allocated for the Kel-tec RFB and the tommy gun mod, but you've just added another contender to the line up. Look forward to hearing more from you!

Good Stripes catch :)

All I have been saying is there is nothing to get excited about...... yet.
Reading skills are key here folks

Stripes rocks.

Well it is kind of something to get a little excited about, the possibility of a new rifle thats "MADE IN CANADA."

It would be cool to see something like this available, keep us informed on your progress.

Not so much harass just for trying as for letting us down. So often some guy comes on here about all the amazing things they will build and nothing ever happens with it. There is one prototype, if that, then reality sets in and nothing else is ever heard.

I'm as guilty as the next guy and that has jaded me. I'll get excited when he has stuff shipping out the door.

update

working on prototype #2
had a problem with the first one so started again
sticking with the fal mags as the enfield 2a mags are crappy and wont even hold the rounds in.

more to follow

still need my barrel tiriaq lol

Tagged for serious interest. there are always wet blankets and keyboard/internet tough guys, just keep on plugging away man. No tit doesn't make my pants wet either but the possibilities it stirs up for the future does make my junk move.

Wow Reaper...

Take a hike, your not contributing anything to this thread other than things we already know... We'll get excited if we want to regarding the information that he's posted, if you don't like it then gtfo.

Blue stratus, is this going to be an upgrade thing? I don't remember AR180b uppers being sold seperatley, so I assume this is something for people who already own the whole rifle?
I think what your doing is awesome, hopefully your reciever will only accept ar180b uppers and nothing else, the techs at the cfc would restrict it knowing it could accept an ar10/ar15 upper.
