It has always been on my radar for the last 20 years but it’s becoming more accessible now.

It’s fascinating and most important no bull#### approach

Polar bear goulash !

I am already in touch with 2 of these families through Hunter friends in Denmark.

can you imagine

no calibre talk

no bull#### species discussion

no staff to look after you

no conservation officer poking - of course still observe quotas as you can see in the video

I am very excited and more so than seeking monsters like a rare Bugatti. This is something else.

hope you folks share the same sentiment.

care to share hunting experience and ventures in the artic ? Please no politics

I really know so little and seen so little

so much to hunt and so little time

Never had the opportunity to try polar bear but have had grain fed or apple fed black bear many times, roasts, hams, chops, stew, all delicious. The secret is what they have been eating. Same thing for grizzly, I've had roast grizzly a number of times, from a clean diet they are the best. Polar bears extensively eat seals and seals eat fish. I would expect that a polar bear that has been feasting on seals ( taken on the ice) would be just like black bears and grizzlies that have been feeding on salmon - fishy. Polar bear liver is said to be somewhat toxic, the Inuit don't feed it to their dogs.

Just pulled up the Government of Greenland website.
Only full time hunters may hunt polar bears.
Minimum caliber required is .30-06.
Only males may be taken.
There are regional quotas for polar bear harvest. For example, the quota for Baffin Bay is 70 animals.

do not know for polar but grizzly and black bear gulasz is very good.

glad the greenland finally get the act to allow hunt for polar bear. the world including cites tried to stopped that since 2006.

Those folks need immersion suits or at least floater jackets with beavertails.
