That ice as every thing to do with global warming, that is the reason it’s moving so much, if you watched the video you will see for your self!

Is there a practical reason for piloting through the ice at that speed? I realize that the distances are long but they sure seemed to be booting through some of those sections and they were swerving around ice.

And wouldn't aluminum be a better choice for hull materials?

It's kind of like in the jungle of Panama where my young helicopter pilots would like to fly our Hughes 500s low along the creek beds when we could just as easily be 500' above the canopy and be a lot safer.
