Anyone know the weight of a .308 26” IBI Carbon Hunter blank?
They posted a video weighing one over on FB, will see if I can find it again. I have one on the way, but it will be a pre-fit for my action.
Oh look, KThomas still beating his "I know a guy who heard of a guy that had an early one that shot like crap... so they'll never be a good barrel" drum.... #
Oh.... And he's never personally had or shot one... but hey... they're not good barrels
Well, I do have one, a fluted MTU, 11 1/4 twist .308 pipe. Making 1k hits with it is child's play.
Sub MOA groups out to 600m with factory ammo is just another day at the office for this rig.
PGW uses them as a factory barrel.
Definitely a first choice here.
Then why keep pushing the same BS line you have for at least 5-6 years I am aware of. I have had crap barrels from almost every major manufacturer over the years but I never harp on one manufacturer like you have!!
I actually stopped talking about it, if you haven't noticed. And I have no intention to talk about it again.
It's been over a year since I brought it up, since IBI seems to have gotten a handle on the situation.
So no, I'm not "keep pushing the same BS lines" as you suggest.
I'm leaving dead horses to lay, so why are we rehashing this?
The most accurate barrel I ever had was from Gary Schneider and yet nobody ever talks about his barrels.
I was speaking to David Tubbs some years back and he told me Gary Schneider barrels were the only ones he uses, so I took his advice and bought one. Tubbs also recommended polygonal rifling, so I got that.
Bottom line, it was like no other barrel I ever had before or since.
I don't believe anyone is bringing them in to Canada.
I do recall a substantial lead time because Schneider was busy making a run of barrels for the military snipers.
I'd buy another if it was available here.
