Anybody have IBI barrel reviews ?

How long did it take for them to make the barrel for you? I’ve emailed them for a barrel order and their so incredibly slow at responding I gave up. Called and emailed them before. Not sure why their so slow at responding
1.5kg in a 6.5mm blank.

They posted a video weighing one over on FB, will see if I can find it again. I have one on the way, but it will be a pre-fit for my action.

Well, I do have one, a fluted MTU, 11 1/4 twist .308 pipe. Making 1k hits with it is child's play.
Sub MOA groups out to 600m with factory ammo is just another day at the office for this rig.
PGW uses them as a factory barrel.
Definitely a first choice here.

I haven't made a post about IBI barrels in a long time.
Initially they were having some very noteworthy manufacturing/QAQC issues. Certainly something I would want to know if I was in the market for a barrel.
Seems like people are happy with them now, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Glad they got their issues sorted out.
I actually stopped talking about it, if you haven't noticed. And I have no intention to talk about it again.
It's been over a year since I brought it up, since IBI seems to have gotten a handle on the situation.
So no, I'm not "keep pushing the same BS lines" as you suggest.
I'm leaving dead horses to lay, so why are we rehashing this?
This is a build I finished a little while back using an IBI carbon wrapped tube. Quality on the barrel is outstanding and I will build another in the future using the CF wrapped barrels. This one is in 6.5PRC and will shoot sub MOA out to 300M with factory Hornady ELD-X. I'm sure it will hold it's own at further distances, but 300M is as far as I was able to get to during testing so far.

I just had a 6mm creedmoor MTU barrel made and had my first match with it. Very good quality and accurate barrel like all my other IBI barrels. It's proven to be a very consistent barrel.
6mm creedmoor barrel was getting .27 MOA groups on first load development outing. 308 barrel is still getting .2 MOA groups after 1200 rounds... I think that's more then good enough haha!!

That was over a year ago...
The most accurate barrel I ever had was from Gary Schneider and yet nobody ever talks about his barrels.
I was speaking to David Tubbs some years back and he told me Gary Schneider barrels were the only ones he uses, so I took his advice and bought one. Tubbs also recommended polygonal rifling, so I got that.
Bottom line, it was like no other barrel I ever had before or since.
I don't believe anyone is bringing them in to Canada.
I do recall a substantial lead time because Schneider was busy making a run of barrels for the military snipers.
I'd buy another if it was available here.
