Hello,

I joined the forum rimfire central a couple of days ago. It accepted my profile but says in order to proceed you need to verify your account. There is a button to activate the verification and an email is suppose to be sent for further instruction. I tried it several times and it doesn't work. Can anyone help or contact the admin folks to see what is goin in. My profile is MovCon on rimfire central. Thanks in advance.

I belong but stopped going to the site when I started getting virus pop ups and redirects from the site, might be fine now but not worth it to check for me.

Never joined, although I have searched their forum numerous times with great success finding answers to all things .22 -great resource

Same here. Been trying to join for the last couple weeks. If anyone from CGN would send their Admin a PM that would be amazing!

Don't know whether this will help, but here's a link to the RFC forum usage threads:

https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_faq#faq_vb3_board_usage
(You could try the bulleted "Registration" item.)

One forum administrator is member Sophia. You could send her a private message to get help.

Just as an aside, I've been a member of RFC for a number of years and have found it tremendously helpful and always full of interesting threads about all things rimfire. There are some real experts on the board--with respect to all rimfire rifles--and the vibe is one of welcoming and helpfulness. I don't find the US flags off-putting at all. Americans are patriotic folks; nothing wrong with that. There are a number of Canadians on the forum, along with Aussies, Kiwis, and Europeans (many Scandinavians).

It's a really good forum. I have been a member there since 2002 & highly recommend it

Sophia seems to be the contact They started a new help thread it’s usually at the top of the opening page. I’ve been a non paying member for a couple of years( the payment section has been down that long) it’s not too “rah rah go America “ and the pop ups at the top don’t follow me and the virus issue seems to have been solved ( I use an iPad). Tons of useful info and they get it long before we do if the Canadian stores even bother to pass it along.

I did the exact same thing and have the exact same problem. My handle on RFC is Tikka_223

I'm there for about 6 months - same handle, works fine.
Check your spam folder for verification email.
Or maybe just re-register with another email address (with less aggressive spam filter) - Gmail works for me for all online forums...
Cheers,

I'm a member of that forum, albeit, an inactive one. I've never had issues logging on/browsing the site...nor have I had any pop-ups. Could have been issues materialized..and were remedied in the long stints between visits, not sure. Just logged-in now, looks normal.

I've found members there to be very nice, helpful folks for the most part. I've messaged back and forth with some interesting members too, some former military...some with similar centerfire interests, etc. I've even gotten a couple of invites too, quite unexpected. :) If there is anything working against the site (for me) it has to be their ability to get some very interesting toys (=envy on my end)...and when questioned about Canadian gun laws/restrictions, you almost feel like kid who got his hand slapped by his mother...lol If you think Canadian gun owners are bewildered about the level on Nanny-state-ism we suffer with here, try to explain that to a gun enthusiast in the US! lol They don't have it perfect down there either, but hearing a US perspective on Canadian gun laws can be very interesting. To me at least.

Update. I can't send any emails Sophia. I can read the post can't see most pics. I am a Canadian Veteran the US flags don't bother me one bit. What I find frustrating is we can't source the same equipment in Canada. Cheers.

Anyone mind sending Sophia a PM? It seems like they are not sending out any activation codes for new members as of the last couple weeks. I tried multiple email address, checked the spam folders etc...

Thanks in advanced.

Seems they have to ship a gun that's sold not directly to the buyer but to an FFL. In Canada we can send a long gun directly to the buyer without issue. (There may be PAL verification required in the future.) Furthermore, no one seems to use anything like emt for money exchanges; perhaps emt as we know it in this country does not exist south of the border. Of course handgun laws are generally less restrictive in the U.S.

Yea, but we get to flaunt our under 16" barrel & full stock RIFLES to them lol

I have been a member there since 2006. As with pretty well any gun site, there are always those who slag whichever firearm you post a thread on.

On the positive side, however, there are many very helpful members, plus a wide variety of different forums to cruise.
