Anybody Here Belong To Rimfire Central

I have been a member of RFC for a few years. Fantastic source of info and great people there.

I have been a member over there for a short while, and am amazed how much knowledge those guys have.

There are many Canadians on the forum.

The forum is surprisingly non-political, which is a great thing when you want to get an answer to a shooting question, rather than getting a war of words.

I highly recommend the forum.

I am a member of RFC.

And btw, I find it quite amusing when American flags upset a Canuck. That is one of my tests for Liberals. I suppose talk of the 2nd Amendment also upsets you. LOL

CD

Yep.

You won't be missed.

American flags don't upset me... you calling me a liberal upsets me. I vacation in the US and have property there. The only reason I make mention of the us flags all over rfc is that I find americanisms annoying... but then again, now I fond you annoying too lol

Yea, but we get to flaunt our under 16" barrel & full stock RIFLES to them lol

For how much longer?
I expect c71 will address the short barrel shotguns and rifles and restrict possession of ordinary rifles and shotguns.
With handguns gone rifles and shotguns will be the new 'restricted' class with possession allowed only at home, government approved ranges and by licensed hunters during an open hunting season.
Any other use will require a permit just like in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick now.
No more guns at gravel pits, in the bush or on crown land during the hunting off season.

One thing about being a member there is that they get all the new toys long before we do. The moment a new toy is out the product reviews start to flow. It saved me a lot of my hard earned cash from not buying the latest gizmo that doesn’t even match the quality of the old one

There was a post this morning from someone who didn’t get the confirmation email and couldn’t get any help

Yep, I've been trying to get a confirmation email from them almost a month now. Perhaps they don't want any new members? Without confirmation, I can't PM or post.

they never seem to help I have an account but some how my user name got changed to my e mail address and needless to say I do not want every one to see my e mail address, so I started a help ticket and that was over a year ago and still no response.

Don't know whether this will help, but here's a link to the RFC forum usage threads:

(You could try the bulleted "Registration" item.)

One forum administrator is member Sophia. You could send her a private message to get help.

Just as an aside, I've been a member of RFC for a number of years and have found it tremendously helpful and always full of interesting threads about all things rimfire. There are some real experts on the board--with respect to all rimfire rifles--and the vibe is one of welcoming and helpfulness. I don't find the US flags off-putting at all. Americans are patriotic folks; nothing wrong with that. There are a number of Canadians on the forum, along with Aussies, Kiwis, and Europeans (many Scandinavians).

Join, we Americans are patriotic, as are you Canadians. Post your flag and be proud of it! I frequent several forums with an international makeup, mostly here but not much, along with the Swiss and Swedish rifle forums. Several years ago a lawyer on the Swedish forum helped find some hammer screws for an old Husqvarna sidelock hammer gun for me, and a now deceased gentleman in the Netherlands got me a couple of adjustable sights for a couple of my Swiss rifles.

This is very true. Everyone can be patriotic in their way. And on forums such as RFC it is possible to glean information otherwise unavailable and make connections get assistance that can be helpful in so many ways.

My first choice is CGN, but Alberta outdoorsmans forum, GUN OWNERS OF CANADA, RFC and bc hunting are all places I frequent occasionally. No site is perfect, but I appreciate them all for the good information

I have been with RFC since July 2007. Dont post there often but its got some knowledgeable members, so lurking makes for great reading.

What I like about it is Firearms Brands have their own subforums, ie. CZ, Savage and Marlin. So its easy to search for answers.

I've had an account for a long time. Great and knowledgeable members for sure.
Oddly enough it is the only gun forum I've ever been ripped off in the EE/Gear Swap, and by one of their big time members at that point.
