Anybody here ever gone Turr Hunting??

Nice to see somebody have a chance at um .... my fav bird to eat, wrapped up in tin foil with onions and baked in the oven mmmmmmm ... i know what im having tommorow lol

One of the guys at work gave me some a few years back at lunch.
It was "okay", but it weren't no grain eatin' mallard!:D

Most of the time when guys say they don't like Turrs, seal, moose, etc...the reason is they've never had it prepared properly!
 
When we were out sealing a couple of weeks ago, the bay was filled with turres. Could have killed our limit, easy, if the season were open. :(

I've eaten almost everything that walks , crawls, swims or flies!:D
Didn't say I didn't like it, just that I prefer mallards.
Same as partridge, I like pheasant better.

Nuthin' wrong with either seal or whale, muskrat, lynx, whatever!:dancingbanana:

Ohh yea definetly not a hard bird to kill, but fun .... first time i heard anyone call mergansers, shell birds, other than around this way, must be a newfoundland thing eh ... you forgot about the hounds :)
