Anybody here ever gone Turr Hunting??

Has anybody here ever gone Turr(Murre) hunting before??? Loads of fun, and by far the toughtest birds i've ever seen..

One of the guys at work gave me some a few years back at lunch.
It was "okay", but it weren't no grain eatin' mallard!

Most of the time when guys say they don't like Turrs, seal, moose, etc...the reason is they've never had it prepared properly!

When we were out sealing a couple of weeks ago, the bay was filled with turres. Could have killed our limit, easy, if the season were open.

I've eaten almost everything that walks , crawls, swims or flies!
Didn't say I didn't like it, just that I prefer mallards.
Same as partridge, I like pheasant better.

Nuthin' wrong with either seal or whale, muskrat, lynx, whatever!

Ohh yea definetly not a hard bird to kill, but fun .... first time i heard anyone call mergansers, shell birds, other than around this way, must be a newfoundland thing eh ... you forgot about the hounds
