Anybody know AG m42B Swedish ?

That pic is a pretty mild abrazon I've done worse with a hammer. I have two of these rifles and would not sell either. They are accurate and reliable, after you read the manuel.
One I consider a sporter only because the stock has been refinisher, this one I worked on the gas plug and replaced it with an adjustable one I made, brass now ejects onto the shooting bench.
Enjoy

Not to derail this thread, I have a Hakim, that I like shooting, but it really mangles rims. It just punches through the rim with ejector. Any way to remedy this?
Also Any way to find gas port adjustment tool? Are hakim and M42B gas adjustment tools the same?

The gas port setting should be the remedy.
I found that by carefully crushing the mouth of a fired 8mm case, an adjustment tool could be made.

I remember around 2003-4 buying Ljungmans for $150~$200. At one time I had 4. Now I only have the one, but I added a Hakim and a Rasheed :)

Also, not many people know, but they have two settings on the rear sight. One for pointed rounds (100~700 meters), and one for round nose (100~600 meters). You need to take out the pin to switch between. This comes in handy if your groups are two high or low on one setting because the rear site is held at different heights depending on what setting it's on.

For example, you will notice that on the pointed setting, when the rear sight is set at 100 meters it still looks like it could be lowered more but won't stay there. If you switch to round nose, the 100 meter setting is touching the sight base and is as low as can be set.

The only other way to fine tune elevation is to replace the front sight with a taller/shorter one.

I bought one a few months ago but have yet to try it, on account that I do not reload yet. Is there a commercial ammo that can be used safely? I read on another board that PPU is fine but would rather prefer get feedback from a user here before giving it a go...

I used ppu successfully in mine, no signs of pressure issues or too violent cycling (if that can really be gauged). The fmj shot quite accurately too if I recall.
