Anybody know where I can buy a Krinker Plinker? Does anybody have one of these?

Yes would still be legal. But good luck finding a kit that isnt 2x more than what a 10/22 costs.
I had two. The first was the original design with what appeared to be a genuine folding AK stock (maybe Romanian?). I bought a second one that had the Krinkov style stock which I liked better so I sold the original one (to someone on CGN). The only issue would be overall length. Since both of them were folders they were under the minimum 26" length with the stock folded so it would be necessary to pin the stock open to keep them from being restricted.

Not sure what scianna54's issue with them is as they are basically just a 10/22 with a shorter barrel in an AK-looking shell so they should be as reliable as any 10/22 which are normally pretty good as semi-auto .22s go. Both of mine functioned fine and they really looked kind of cool, especially with the 25 round Butler Creek banana mags. I actually talked to the guys who made the kits when they were at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot several years ago. They sold a whack of them initially but I suspect as the market got saturated there wasn't enough money to be made to keep churning them out.

That's good to know you can keep them classified as NR if you pin the stock so it can't fold. Where could I get a similar style stock/setup right now?

Unfortunately I have no clue. I've seen 10/22 kits for the AR-15, H&K G36, Thompson SMG, AK-47, M1 carbine, MG-42 and FN PS-90 (there may be others as well) so with the popularity of 10/22 conversion kits I am surprised C&S or someone else hasn't resurrected an AK kit for it.

I'm really hoping I can find an AK-47 body kit. The other options are cool as ####, but the AK calls to me. Somebody had mentioned looking on the EE, so I'll take a browse.

Yes I had to pin mine open with 8inch barrel.

Like most chassi kits, if you wanted to take it apart to clean, it was a pits.

But I loved the kit at the time.

I had the mg42 kit.

FN p90 i think a nutter converted an airsoft gun to make it. Was a thread years ago.
