Hey Cowboy, I picked up an old enfield once that had a 4x15mm .22 scope mounted the same way. The guy claimed to have shot "lottsa" moose and "it's a good gun" I bought it for $15 because it had a new Cobra-style tooled leather sling attached with leather shoe laces :puke: I sold the sling for $20, the scope for $10 :D

All BS aside, it's because the scope insn't parallel with the bore of the rifle. Get rid of the aperture sight and mount it the way you are suppose too. And get rid of those super high hideous see thru mounts.

When I owned that gun it shot just fine. Probably the scope is low on adjustment fluid, that model uses a lot of it.

You might wanna try a couple hockey pucks under each end of the scope, and then duct-tape the s**t out of it,... I don't think the scope is quite high enough!
............wait a minute, that might be how I lifted my Chevy,.....I dunno anymore......

You guys slay me...:p
We were falling about the place when that beauty came in for a bore sight. :dancingbanana:
The poor kid who brought it in is probably still in therapy....:onCrack:

LMFAO! :D

No... just a misguided young local fella who thought he had a brilliant idea... the rifle is actually very good condition. We put the gun back to original and explained the sighting plane to him.
I have seen much worse... from guys who should know better.:bangHead:
