Anybody noticed the Mauser M1909 7.65X53 Argentine Snipers for sale in the USA

[h=1]Anybody noticed the M1909 7.65X53 Argentine Mauser Snipers being sold in the US at the moment? Impact arms has them, they look unissued and unfortunately they come without the scopes, but have the mounts and rings. [/h]Price seems very good at $1,764.99.

Looks good, right mount - too bad about the scope.

The mounts have a strangely dark and uniform finish completely lacking in the wear exhibited by the rifles themselves.

Perhaps the Argentinians decided to convert a batch of used rifles recently without refurbishing them.

Then again, perhaps not!

There are reproduction mounts & rings out there for the 1909.

Though I would expect a 'sniper' rifle to have been taken much better care of than the average... I might eyeball a beat up sniper with some suspicion.
