Anybody Round Here Doing The 6.5 Grendel Thing?

I did a lot of research on various AR 15/STANAG type calibers, Grendel did not make the cut though. The conversions that did were the 7.62x39 and 50 Beowulf (shared bolt) and then the Remington 30AR and 450 Bushmaster (shared bolt and magazines)

as far as performance the Remington 30AR is at the top of the performance chart in a STANG magazine. Factory ammo is readily available from Remington, the only unfortunate part is outside of Remington or custom conversions nobody is offering parts or rifles even though it is not proprietary like the 50 Beowulf

Until someone comes up with a NR, accurate, light weight, 308, semi auto, the Remington 30AR is unlikely to be replaced as my hunting rifle

Alberta Tactical Rifle have their Modern Hunter in 308. Also the North Eastern Arms NEA102 was just announced as non-restricted. I imagine both of those rifles to be highly accurate. Don't know the weight of them however. I think XCR-Ms are fairly light but I don't know how accurate they are.

All you mention are heavier than my ACR in 30ar

Accurate enough for me, Brian46 sold his I think (XCR-M) ... mine is 10lb's scoped. Not what I consider light, with a light scope or red dot or irons, it's barely acceptable for hoofing it.

The M is heavy, a friend still tries to hunt with his first gen, it's over 13lbs with scope lol and not what I would call accurate.
