Anybody seen the new winchester model 70's

looking to see if they are in yet??Anyone handled one or have one yet??

Hi h/h, i had a look at one in Wholesale in Kamloops last week .It was featherweight 06, i was interested in the new trigger which was heavy probably 8# but didnt have any creep and was crisp. In the magazine i have, it shows an adjustment screw for

weight of pull, i would be interested to know if it can come down to 3# or so. This is because the CZ 22 i bought, stated adjustable trigger but it wouldnt come below 6# and went to the gunsmiths twice to get 2.5#.
I have had two model 70 classics that are simple to adjust and are very crisp i dont know why they would change the trigger, other than production cost. Physically the new rifle seems not to have changed.

They are in The Sportslodge, here in Whitehorse. Nice wood, nicely fitted, but the saftey on one of them is so far out of time that it literally takes two hands to put it to "safe".

How does something like that get off the bench and into a shipping carton? Surely they check to see if the safety works!

My nephews Model 70 from a few years back was exactly the same, very hard to move the safety. It quickly loosened up and is perfect now. Must be something in the design ??
