If so, is it a pain to clean?

I like the idea of the multi caliber option and was thinking about a 223 and 7.62 conversion barrel so I can shoot surplus as well but it's not a cheap gun so I don't want to wreck an expensive gun to save a bit on ammo.

Very common question around here, I have shot nothing but corrosive through both my XCR's, cleaning is no different than my AR or Tavor, I have a bucket of Ed's Red I use to clean the parts, the barrel gets swabbed out with Ed's Red than a generous spray of Gunzilla, I don't even flush it with hot water anymore.

By it self the ammo is not corrosive, it is the lack of good cleaning habit that allows the corrosion to happen.

0 issues running corrosive through mine.
easy to clean. Once in a while you will have to take your barrel off and clean out the tube where the gas piston sits. a 20ga brush works wonders for this. The only place that ever rusted on me with the XCR was in the stock brake. It was a real ****.
