anybody tried the Berger elite hunter bullets in .338?

so I have a .338 LM project and I am currently waiting on my stock but I was wanting to start putting my reloading components together. has anybody tried the Berger elite hunter bullets in their factory action .338's? it says in the description that they are designed for custom actions/single use because of the bullet length in the 300 grain flavour which is what i want to shoot...the idea behind using the berger vs the 300 gr SMK is that i would like the match grade accuracy while also giving myself the option to hunt long range without having to work up another load just for the rare occasion that i hunt with the rifle. I know some people have hunted with the SMK and have heard mixed results...i just wanted to ask some questions to try to ensure the best chance of an ethical kill any time i pull the trigger.

I worked up a load with the tactical this summer and I tried the same load with hunting bullets . Did comparaison at 600 yards. I got 5 shots in around 3 inch with the tactical and got close to 6 inch with the hunting. So they dont react the same in the barrel. I did not have time to tune up the hunting bullets, but I will get back when I can
