Anybody try the Remington 504 yet?

I know they have killed it, so that doesn't really give me much time. I'm thinking of swapping a few of my boomers for one of these for my collection. But I know very little about them. What can you tell me?

i know that everyone i know that bought or tried it said to buy another CZ instead, and i'm a remington guy (at least centerfire)...

Can you tell me why? I think they are beautiful to look at, and they seem quite tight to me.

A few of the lower serial numbered ones were iffy in the accuracy department, whereas those produced later lacked that problem, but the damage was basically done. I understand that the same rifle under a new designation is available out of REmington's Custom shop. Too bad, just a great feeling rifle in the hands, and those that shot well, shot extremely well.
