The past three years I've recorded my walk up to the deer usually within five minutes of the shot, unlike in hunting shows where it is all staged. The videos are priceless, and record my memory of the shot, my excitement at the time, and speculation on how many points, how big it is etc.

I'd like to move up to recording the shot (I hunt mostly from tree and ground blinds), but don't want to risk having the setup interfere with my chances.

Anybody here do that? Any tips? Videos to share? :D

I don't have personal experience doing it, but what about a helmet cam? You could wear it on your head (or chest, wherever) with a headlamp type strap that I think comes with them. You could get fancy and even mount it on your rifle, which I think would be awesome footage.

Check out Go Pro helmet cams.

Might be excessively hard on your electronics, depending on caliber.

I have taken a video camera with me while hunting deer from both a tree and ground over the past 5 years. I just record deer movement and bucks that I didn't want to harvest. This year I decided to buy an inexpensive camera mount . I had it all set up in my shack and ready when the buck came in and got about a minute of good video before the shot but when I shot the kick from the gun shook the shack so much it spoiled the impact shot! At least I got the buck running away.

I've spent a lot of time trying to video tape my hunts. I've only actually ever captured one kill-shot on camera though. It was on a mule deer my cousin and I had named "Bubba". He ended up grossing 227" non-typical. The shooter herself isn't caught in the video as I was about a hundred yards off to the side when the shot was taken..
