Anyone a member at cdtsa?

Im thinking of joining this range due to the fact that its 10 min away from my house vs the Homestead dump which takes me 1.5 hrs to get to. Are here any members here that can tell me a bit about it, and weather its worth the $290 for a family membership there? Any information would be great.

Yep, it's worth it. I'm a member there.

When you join, you'll have to go to a range orientation that takes about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. That's where all the rules, policies, and procedures are explained to new members. You'll also get a main gate lock combination so that you can shoot anytime after 9 am until dusk.

The donate thing is for the new range fund. I'm sure you've noticed that Calgary is rapidly creeping up on the range, so new land needs to be bought, land is expensive around here, etc, etc...

whats the typical amount ppl give? its kinda weird, what if i dont renew next year, then i am donating to a facility i will never use?
