Anyone actually stock vortex?

short answer- No.
the usa is too backordered and they don't know what they are getting, when they are getting and how many are backordered. then after that's done they come to Canada. great product, small time typical family run operation. really a shame, I really want a certain scope but I know it will never come- and I don't want to wait over a year and put out 100% cash with no refund as I have never seen the scope in person. pony up a bit more cash and buy a regular brand to $1300 should get you into nice glass. Also wonder about the warranty, if they never have them how can they replace them?

Companies (especially family run) that operate like this go out of business soon, not because they sell bad products but because they cannot scale demand and do not want to sell the company in whole or part to people who know how to operate a manufacturing business.
 
I pre-ordered my 6-24X50 FFP in Sep 2010 with a deposit and got it Jul 2011. It was worth the wait.

IF I didn't want the FFP I'd probably consider the Sightron LRMOA, but FFP is where it's at for me, so for now the PST can't be beat.

I totally agree. It's nice to see a product of that price tag before purchasing it. It doesn't seem much different than buying a car from a catalogue lol.
 
Just got my first Vortex from Hamilton Tactical~A Viper HS. Won't be my last Vortex, and HT will be the place I get the next one too.
