I had the pleasure of trying out a .40 M&P the other day, and really quite liked it.

I am now considering how exactly I can convince SWMBO that I need another handgun....

That said, any other pistola I bring into the stable will be a .45 - Has anyone out there bought one yet? Reports on how she goes??

Cheers,

Neal

I haven't bought one yet, but it's on the list. I've handled (fondled) one and the grip size is almost identical to the 9/40 (if there's a difference you'd need to be holding one of each to tell). Also the one I was looking at had no thumb safety and no mag safety - woohooo! I know there are a few guys here who have them, so I'm looking forward the answers too.

I have the brown version with thumb- but no mag - safety. I love it - great gun, highly accurate, and you can shoot it all day - the grip configuration really soaks up recoil. The trigger weight is a hair higher than on my 9mm M&P but I expect that will come down with use.

I would avoid the thumb safety and especially the mag safety- It's a real PITA when unloading and driopping the hammer at the end of an IPSC stage.
