Anyone buy an svt40 from Corwin Arms recently?

Darn, off topic, but I was hoping to catch them at a local show. Which one was this?

Agreed, I picked up a very nice svt from him at the last Burnaby show yesterday. Really nice looking rifle, very nice bore and stock. Ran a quick patch through it when I got home, I'll take some pics when I get a moment this week. Cheers Martin!

After a couple bad experiences from other dealers, he is the only one I will buy a sight unseen milsurp from. They are always better than I expect.

I'll tell you this - they short changed me BIG TIME on my last purchase. I bought a long svt bayonet that was listed as having surface rust. The thing arrives and I'm like wtf? Not one spec of the surface rust I was promised. Thing is clean and shiny! I paid good money for rust, and never got any. It looks just like the mint quality regular svt bayo I bought there a couple weeks ago. Maybe they'll send the rust in a separate envelope or something, but it sure isn't on the blade and scabbard as advertised!

Rant and sarcasm off

This is the second time I've bought off Martin, will be happy to do so again in the future. The website said they were sold out of svt40's so he picked one out of his personal stock for me, standup guy.

Darn it. I was contemplating...but wasn't sure since it seemed more black powder etc.

Sigh, now the rest of them are going to be in Chilliwack.

Yeah, I won't be getting out to the new location very regularly so I made sure to hit the final one on ledger when I knew Corwin would be coming down for it.

I GoT my SVT 40 in the mail on Monday. I emailed Martin about the package and he said it'd be there by Monday and right at 12 noon, my russian beauty arrived. Martin was really great to deal with, emailed me back within an hour or two the few times i had to contact him. Would totally buy another sight unseen Milsurp off this guy again !!! Really made my Christmas. I emailed him asking for a 4 port muzzle, railed,no repair stock and matching bolt/reciver. ( or as many matching as possible ) I got what i asked for. He sent me a 1941 Izzy 4 port with the early style 2 piece front swivel/ railed / bolt/reciver/trigger group matching/ mag does not but im not dissapointed..... No stock repairs... Oh year the stock is not ###XX'd , i dont know if they do that on SVT's but my SKS has it... anyway, beautiful rifle all globby in cosmo...

THANKS MARTIN / CORWIN ARMS for making my Christmas..... wife wont let me clean it till after Christmas, i will post pix.

Yup, that's the Corwin-Arms experience. You'll go a long time looking for someone to say something bad about Martin, and you'll come up empty. There might be other dealers as good, but there aren't any better.
