Anyone call before 28 days?

If I were you I would start assuming it's been lost in the mail. As crappy as Canada Post is they should have it by now. I sent mine by Xpresspost and it showed on the system a week later. Well worth the $8 for speed and having it signed for.

28th day, called at 10AM, did my interview, had my references call. Website changed to approved by noon.
 
Call in

I suggest everyone call in after the 28 days. I waited 2 months before calling in. The lady told me my name was just sitting in the computer. She hit a button then I was instantly approved.
 
I suggest EVERYONE call before, or on the 28th day. Call this number:

1 800 731-4000 Extension 2533 and give them your application number. Do your interview, and tell your references to do them as well. My refs called in yesterday and did their interview, I did so today, and I checked later in the day and my license was issued.

Today is the 29th day btw.

Im going to call tomorrow to get my PAL number.
 
Its the extension I was told to use. Im assuming that its a general extension for everyone. Just call the number, follow the directions, dial that extension when it asks you too and there you go. Just give the person your application number and your set.
 
Took me over 90 days to get mine (partially because my sister's boyfriend / reference was kinda a bonehead when they called him for a reference - BTW he WAS recovering from a head-on accident that by all rights should have killled him: the lucky bastard).

It was an RPAL, even though I sent them the military training certificates I have from my days in the CF, AND the training bulls**t I went through (actually had to tell the instructor why a 9mm Browning HiPower -nice Belgian pistol- safety wouldn'd work without a magazine in the gun).

Oh well, I have the paperwork now, so buying some restriced pistols is gonna be fun!!!
 
when does it appear on the website? i shipped it out on the 18th with regular mail (should of taken 4 days) but i still see nothing...
 
hi guys, just wanted to share that my application was received on 4/28/2009, and since none of my references had been called yet, i called in today to find out the status. The guy on the phone interviewed me, and then gave me an extension for my references to call in. They did, and next thing i know, my status has been changed to "Licence has been issued"!! On the SAME DAY! Moral is to CALL THEM! Can't wait to get my new toys!

Mine was 16 days from time of arrival in Miramichi. This was also the day initial processing / approval took place on my non-restricted.

Why anyone would send all your personal information by regular or non registered instead of registered or XPressPost, I'll never understand.

How are you guys getting your PAL numbers over the phone. I emailed them and they said that it is not legal to give out the number. Anyone have a specific number and extension I can call to get my number?
