Hello gents,
I know it is a long shot but is there anyone than can ID my musket from these pictures. I think, as it it mentioned by Tiriaq and WR that it is in fact a part gun. The trigger guard and trigger look older and made from a different metal than the buttplate and thumbrest. I think those might have been added later. Too bad I am missing the lock.
There is not a single screw on the gun, only nails and pins. The bore diameter is in the high 60s. The gun is still loaded, would be interesting to see with what......
My oldest firearms are 1873-1876 Winchesters and an old SXS 10 g. but researching and learning about muzzle-loaders is quite interesting.
