Anyone carrying the savage hoghunter rifles?

I'm wondering if anyone is stocking the savage hog hunter rifles especially the ones in 308. This looks exactly what I'm looking for a short 20inch barreled open sighted rifle for the bush.

Yes it's a nice rifle. I'm thinking of asking Epps if they can get them. It's a working man's Scout rifle.

Canadian Tire in Kingston is getting a couple/few. One of them in .308 has my name on it.

if it had a detachable mag i would love one! but i already ahve a beater in 308 so im looking for something with a little bit better quality.

considering that Savage is putting DMs on everything, even their benchrest rifles, i wonder WTH they were thinking making this one a blind mag???


personally, this appeals to me more than the Savage but it seems noone in Canada is carrying it

I'd love to get one of the savage alaskan models. Anybody know where to find one of those? I have no idea who imports savage. I can find them in the US and have it imported but, I'd just as soon have that done already!

I can't remember if I have the name exactly right but it's the new stainless ones in 338wm and 375ruger

They come from the factory with irons. Not sure what's up with that picture.

me too, im looking at the ruger scout rifle, i woukld buy it in a heart beat if it had and steel trigger guard and magwell, but ruger had to make it plastic! i think they go for around 500. somethin like that.
