Anyone catch this on TV???

Now that everyone wants to sever the billions in (arguably) miss-guided spending, the CBC is trying to attract a wider audience.

I have periodic fantasies about getting Harper to come out to my range and shoot a round of skeet. Would be great for the sport, and firearms enthusiasts as a whole.

WE NEED TO GET MORE (and younger) PEOPLE SHOOTING.

long may it continue.

holy crap! was that real? I want to send the CBC and Rick a thank you. Could not find where to leave comments, any ideas.
Maybe we should all send the CBC a thank you note, positive reinforcement is a good thing.

It's a great segment and a demonstration that the surest way to get non-gun people into shooting is to take them clay target shooting. A double barrel shotgun in the controlled environment of clay target shooting is a much easier sell on new people than civilianized assault rifles, handguns and combat action sports.

Funny enough- I have a friend I've known for years who saw that show and texted me and told me she wanted to try clay shooting. I'm taking her tomorrow for her first time shooting ever. Previously she had zero interest- and I would give her the occasional invite from time to time. It is amazing how perceptions are created, reinforced and sometimes broken. Can't force it- have to let it happen on it's own.
