Got the firearm verified and the paperwork was sent in. Just wondering how long it takes for the BC CFO to send the paperwork in with the new registration so it can be transferred to me.

It depends on how lucky you are on any particular day and whether of not all of the stars are aligned in your favor.

It's been my experience, anywhere from two weeks to 8 months.

Nothing was wrong, on my end or even at the CFC. The person that first worked on the one that took the longest, went on vacation, then went on sick leave etc etc.

It was just the way it worked out.

I've seen 4" S&W revolvers moved from Prohib to Restricted by adding a 5" barrel and having it reinspected.

That is what I did, changed out the barrel on a prohibited luger and had it verified. Just wondering how long I'll wait until it can be transferred to my name :p
