Anyone out there collect Sako AI rifles?
I have had a Sako rifle in 223 with laminate stock for years, and I don't hunt anymore.
It has a pencil barrel, I mean thin, great for carrying and very accurate.
I was just wondering if its something collectable?
The gun is all Sako nothing added except glass bedded.

Many people like the A series, the laminate vs walnut is a personal preference thing. In good shape I've seen them selling on here anywhere from $750-1200 maybe a touch more for a very special configuration or caliber. I know that's quite a range, but much depends on condition, cartridge and model.

I have a number of Sako rifles...several that still have the factory tags on them because they are just too nice to shoot. I frequently look at (and occasionally buy) Sako rifles of any action length...BUT (and this is a very personal bias) I will never again purchase a rifle that someone has bedded! My personal experience is few amateurs can do an acceptable job of this process...and I have two good (bad) examples of this in my locker. When someone says 'its been bedded'.... I move on. Just my 2cents...fwiw (maybe 0 cents)
