Anyone dealt with magnum research directly?

Well after an entire day of phoning and emailing...I have come to the conclusion that a spring kit for a desert eagle are hard to find...

So I went to magnum research's website and low and behold they sell the kits :bangHead::bangHead::bangHead:

They say they ship to canada so I ordered 2 kits...but I am curious as to how customs will deal with it... its under 100 bucks, and they are literally 3 springs and 6 washers.

Just wondering if anyone has ordered from the before and their experiences.
 
If they're licensed exporter, no problems. If they're not, but the package only says "Springs and washer", should be fine. If the package says "Gun parts", it might not make it here... You're in luck, as it's christmas time, thousands of package are moving around, it might just go thru.

An individual once shipped me parts and wrote "Door mechanism parts", I found it funny :D
 
I've found they are pretty responsive via their website & email. The 100 dollar limit really blows because they include the S&H too. But for bits and pieces it works.
 
That would have been my first choice, except a friend has been waiting on a set of springs from freedom ventures for over 2 months....I might as well buy from MR and I know they have them in stock.
 
So an update for anyone who cares,

After waiting a whole week for a response from magnum research. I called probably about a dozen times and got nothing but voice mails, dozens of emails with no response, I had placed my order online and it was like it was lost into the great unknown...I went ahead and phoned freedom ventures and Sean was a huge help! had the whole order processed and shipped the same day......I am still trying to remove my foot from my mouth.

On a side note, I then wanted some wrap around grips for my Eagle, phoned freedom and they are out of stock....So I dared to phone magnum research again. Went to the sales line...I was on hold for 5 min when someone picked up! I nearly pooped myself!

So I ordered my grips from the very helpful gentleman on the phone. I then proceeded to ask why they don't respond to calls, voice mails or emails? He then proceeded to tell me that he works for Kahr Arms and that they bought Magnum Research out at the beginning of the month and are having a very hard time with the transition due to the time of year and that they are located several states away and haven't received a lot of the inventory yet.

So for all those who own desert eagles, you will be dealing with Kahr Arms in the future.
